The project ILIAS.nrw supports universities in North Rhine-Westphalia in further developing and using the learning platform ILIAS. It coordinates three sub-projects: Communication and Networking, Technology and Development, and Information and Support. The goal is to improve the usability, accessibility, and data protection-compliant use of ILIAS. Universities benefit from centralized support services, joint developments, and a strong community.

Ausführliche Beschreibung

Service: ILIAS.nrw – Support for university service centers
ILIAS.nrw provides comprehensive support for service centers at universities in North Rhine-Westphalia that use the learning platform ILIAS. The central service encompasses a wide range of assistance offerings specifically designed to ease the work of e-learning teams and enhance the quality of digital teaching. Among the key offerings is the toolbox "Digital Accessibility", which supports teachers and administrators in creating barrier-free content. It includes practical checklists for Office documents, PDFs, and media, guidelines for BITV tests, and information on assistive technologies. The toolbox is available as an export file for the common ILIAS versions (8 and 9) and can be directly imported into the university's own ILIAS instance—making implementation simple and flexible.
