Description

Ritchy is a KI-powered chatbot of the IT Service Desk at the IT Center of RWTH Aachen University. It supports users with context-specific answers to common IT questions, based on the official IT Center documentation and Microsoft Azure OpenAI technology with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG). The service is available 24/7, even outside the Service Desk's opening hours, and enables quick access to information without requiring login. Users can anonymously rate every response, contributing to the continuous improvement of answers and documentation.

Availability: - Operating hours or availability: Ritchy is available 24/7, including outside the opening hours of the IT Service Desk (Monday to Thursday: 8–17, Friday: 8–16). - Beta/Pilot status: The AI chatbot SekoGPT is in testing phase. Ritchy itself is not marked as beta or pilot. - Limitations: During the Christmas and New Year holidays (22 December 2025 to 6 January 2026), personal access to the IT Service Desk at the SuperC and Seffenter Weg 23 locations is closed. However, chat and phone support remain available from 29 December 2025 to 6 January 2026, 8–16. - Usage limits: Not specified.
